Calgary Flames - Why did you let Theo go?
I am not a BIG hockey fan, but have been to a lot of games in the 90's when Theo was at the peak of his game. He was always entertaining, especially as most of the games were like watching paint dry. O.K. if you are NOT a hockey fan, we are talking about Theo Fluery. A little guy playing a big man's game. Fell to the depths of despair and has struggled back. Appeared to be doing very well in pre-season games and boy did he bring out the fans!!!! Want to fill the Saddledome in Calgary, just bring on feisty Fleury. Jeez, the radio stations, after announcing Fluery's cut, were saying that the Flames were trying to get Lanny MacDonald back! Anyways, hope somebody else picks him up and he comes back and kicks Calgary's ass (and this is from a long time Calgary fan).

In Case of Emergency
I am retweeting this from Tjgreen22. I had come upon this piece of important information a couple of years ago and informed my kids (well they are adults!). They immediately added this to their cell phone.
ICE (In Case of Emergency) fact: Put the letters ICE B4 names in cell contacts that U would want contacted if you can't speak! Ex. ICE MOM
Thanks Tjgreen22, a great piece of advice for everyone.

Get-Away Vehicle
My son-in-law, an Alberta trucker was driving along a desolate secondary highway in eastern Alberta. As he was approaching an intersection, he noticed a police roadblock up ahead. He's driving a Peterbilt Super B, which is a semi with double grain trailers, loaded down with 47,000 pounds of barley. Now remember, fully loaded, it takes him about 3 miles to get up to highway speed. The officer flags him down, steps up onto the truck, asks for his driver's licence, registration, insurance, where he was coming from and all the time is checking out the interior of the truck, and trying to see into the sleeper. My son-in-law complies and asks, "Officer, what seems to be the problem?" The officer replies, "There was a bank robbery in the small town just back a few miles." To this, he replies, "Well sir, I'm sorry to inform you but this makes a poor get-away vehicle." The policeman sheepishly agreed and sent him along his way.

Wax Paper
The tip of the day is: Wax Paper
I hate cleaning up messes, and I don't think I am that much different than anyone else! When I peel carrots or a potato, those pesky peelings just never seem to be caught to be trashed. I use a piece of wax paper to line the sink, peel away, and when I am done, I just scoop up the wax paper with the peels inside and trash it. No fuss, no muss!!!! I also use wax paper when I am making buns. The flour and dough all just stick to the counter and is a gooy, gluey mess to clean up. I place a piece of wax paper on the counter, put my flour and dough on it, and when I am done, just wrap up the wax paper and trash it. Again, very little mess to clean up.
